Today we head over to Gatlinburg to shine a light on the Smoky Mountain Spinnery!

For over 23 years, Smoky Mountain Spinnery has been creating a center for fiber arts in the mountains of East Tennessee. From spinning, weaving, and rug hooking to knitting, crocheting, felting, and dyeing, we have the equipment and supplies you need for your creative endeavors. We pride ourselves in offering to you as many locally crafted items as possible.

Smoky Mountain Spinnery specializes in natural fibers of all kinds. We at Smoky Mountain Spinnery want to thank you all for allowing us to share what we love with you. Be sure and meet Miss Ruby while you are here!

Be sure to say hi to Miss Ruby!

Ask about our great specials on our in-stock floor looms, going on all summer long!

August 18-28, we are hosting a Muud trunk show. Muud is a Danish lifestyle brand that designs beautiful, premium hand-crafted leather accessories made with knitting, crochet, and embroidery in mind.

Sit and Knit meets every Tuesday evening from 5pm until 8pm in our Gatlinburg studio. All fiber enthusiasts are welcome to join in the fun!

Getting There

We are located in Winery Square in Gatlinburg, just off of East Parkway (Hwy 321N). Please enter us into your GPS or Google Maps and it will bring you right to us! We do have free parking, always a question in Gatlinburg. If you park around the back side of the building, you can enter via a ramp on the right side. If you park in the large main lot in front of the building, please come up the stairs next to Papa John's Pizza.

For those who prefer written directions: Coming from either Cherokee, NC or Pigeon Forge/Sevierville on Parkway go to Red Light #3 (yes, our lights are numbered) and turn out East Parkway. From Cherokee turn right, from Pigeon Forge turn left. After turning onto East Parkway go 1/2 mile and Winery Square will be on your right. If you are coming from Cosby you will be coming in on East Parkway. Go to Red Light #1A and either turn left at the light or go past Flapjack's Pancake House and turn left into Winery Square.

One thing to remember in Sevier County, whatever time your GPS tells you it will take, add at least 30 minutes to it!
